We meet on Saturdays in a borrowed church hall. Forty children, ages seven to twelve, most of them a year or two behind where they should be in reading.
We have volunteers and we have the hall. What we do not have is books at the right level. Most donated books are far too hard, which makes children feel worse rather than better.
