Funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, this initiative selects candidates who are prepared to drive impact in their home countries upon graduation. Scholars have full freedom to select eligible master’s courses at any participating UK university.

Eligibility
Candidates are rigorously assessed on their leadership capability and professional background.
- Nationality: You must be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory and return there for a minimum of two years after your award has ended.
- Academic: You must have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that enables entry into a postgraduate program at a UK university.
- Experience: You must have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience.
How to Apply
The application window is highly structured and does not permit late entries.
- Deadline: Submit your application before 11:00 UTC on October 6, 2026.
- University Offers: You must independently apply to three different eligible UK university courses and receive at least one unconditional offer by July 8, 2027.
- Submit: Applications must be lodged solely through the official Chevening online application system.
