On the personal statement: say what changed because of something you did, not what you did. Reviewers are looking for consequence. Numbers help, even small ones.

If English language proof is required, check the university admissions page rather than the scholarship page. Many accept a Medium of Instruction letter from your school if your degree was taught in English, and it is almost never mentioned where you would look for it.

Write the first draft badly and early. Nobody has ever been helped by staring at a blank form two days before a deadline.
