We tested a translation model on four Indian languages. The results were uneven.

Hindi was excellent. Tamil was good. Bhojpuri and Santali were poor enough to be unusable for anything official. This is not a complaint, it is a planning point. If your programme depends on a model, test it on the languages your people actually speak before you build the workflow around it.

Same pattern with Arabic dialects. Modern Standard is fine, spoken Levantine is not.

And Nigerian languages are barely represented at all. Useful to see somebody measure it rather than assert it.
