The SADC Food, Agriculture and Natural Resources (FANR) Directorate, in partnership with GIZ and the Sustainable Finance Coalition (SFC), invites applications for its Resource Mobilisation Capacity Building and Coaching Programme. This initiative is designed to strengthen the capacity of organizations in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region to secure funding for climate-resilient and nature-based solutions.

The program provides participants with essential skills in fundraising, proposal writing, and developing bankable projects. It combines virtual training workshops with personalized coaching to help organizations effectively mobilize resources for their environmental and climate adaptation initiatives under the Joint Action NaturAfrica / C-NRM Programme.

Financial Benefits

This is a capacity-building program, and the primary benefit is the expert training and coaching provided at no cost to the participants.

  • Expert Training: Fully-funded participation in a series of virtual workshops on resource mobilization and sustainable finance.
  • Personalized Coaching: Tailored one-on-one coaching sessions to help organizations develop specific funding proposals and strategies.
  • Networking: Opportunities to connect with funders, financial institutions, and regional partners.
  • Enhanced Skills: Participants will gain practical skills to develop bankable projects and successfully attract investment.

Eligibility Criteria

The program targets organizations and professionals working within the SADC region.

  • Organizational Type: Open to national and sub-national state agencies, non-state actors (including NGOs and civil society organizations), and private sector entities.
  • Geographic Focus: Applicants must be based and operating within one of the SADC Member States.
