Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity 2026-27

The Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity (AFSEE) is an innovative, fully-funded fellowship based at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). The program brings together a diverse cohort of practitioners, activists, artists, and researchers from around the world who are dedicated to fighting inequality.

The fellowship has two tracks: Residential and Non-Residential. Both tracks include participation in a year-long program of intensive modules, leadership training, and collaborative project work, culminating in lifelong membership in a global community of Atlantic Fellows.

Financial Benefits

This is a fully funded fellowship.

    • Full Tuition Waiver: Full tuition fees for the MSc in Inequalities and Social Science at LSE (for Residential Fellows).

    • Generous Stipend: A significant stipend to cover living costs in London (for Residential Fellows).

    • Covered Travel: Travel to and from London for the program’s modules is covered for all fellows.

    • Lifelong Network: Membership in a global community of leaders committed to social change, with access to further funding and support.

Eligibility Criteria

    • Experience: Applicants should have 7-10 years of experience demonstrating a deep commitment to fighting inequality.

    • Location: Open to applicants from all countries, with a focus on the Global South.

    • Vision: Must have a clear vision for how they will use the fellowship to create a more equitable world.

    • Academic Requirements: Residential Fellows must meet the LSE’s entry requirements for the MSc program.

Application Process

Application Deadline: The application window for the 2026-27 cohort is expected to open in the spring of 2025.

The application is a multi-stage process that includes an online form, submission of written and video essays, and a final interview for shortlisted candidates.
