Financial Benefits
The scholarship offers several financial benefits to cover educational expenses:
- Fee Reimbursement: Full reimbursement of tuition and other mandatory, non-refundable fees.
- Maintenance Allowance: A monthly allowance ranging from ₹230 to ₹1,200, depending on the student’s course group and whether they are a hosteller or a day scholar.
- Allowances for Students with Disabilities: Additional financial support is available for students with disabilities, including reader and escort allowances and book grants.
- Professional Course Support: Higher scholarship amounts, up to ₹13,500 per year, are available for students enrolled in certain professional courses.
- Direct Transfer: All funds are transferred directly to the student’s Aadhaar-linked bank account.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Residency: Must be a permanent resident or domicile holder of Uttar Pradesh.
- Enrollment: Must be enrolled in a recognized post-matric course at an institution that is not blacklisted on the UP Scholarship portal.
- Academic Progression: Must have successfully passed the previous qualifying examination.
- Income Ceiling:
- For General, OBC, and Minority category students, the annual family income must not exceed ₹2 lakh.
- For SC/ST category students, the annual family income must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
- Bank Account: Must possess a bank account linked with their Aadhaar number.

- Visit the official website and select “New Registration” under the “Students” menu.

- Complete the Aadhaar-based e-KYC and mobile verification to generate a 14-digit OTR number.
- Use the OTR number to fill out the main application form, upload the required documents, and submit it online.
